Atlanticus, selected from those where Leonardo da Vinci works with instruments and tools related to fire and water: two elements opposing each other, but essential for life, the symbols of energy and power.

The exhibition itinerary begins with a journey from the wisdom of the Arab Masters, and through the genius of Leonardo da Vinci finally, reaching our days with the progressive advancement of theories on the theme of energy. At the entrance of the exhibition area, a timeline-a 20-meter-long video wall with more than 30 screens-shows the theoretical path that characterized the Arab golden age and leads us into the modern era.

A journey through 1400 years of history provides an overview of the great achievements of scientific thought in a critical area of our era: energy. The ideal center and focus of the exhibition is the figure of Leonardo da Vinci, an Italian artist and scientist who influenced the history of world thought and art. He was born in Anchiano on April 15, 1452 and died in Amboise on May 2, 151. He was an engineer, painter, scientist, and global talent. The author has left a vast corpus of works to study, admire, and to reflect upon.

The Codex Atlanticus of Leonardo Da Vinci is an extraordinary collection of drawings prepared by the author, which reaffirms the depth and richness of his genius. It covers almost all the topics touched by the artist during his life, and illustrates, several times, the appearance of the names of famous Arab philosophers, mathematicians, and scientists, whose works were also well-known in the West. Without a doubt, we can say that Leonardo was a paradigmatic figure: nature observer, architect, engineer and artist who has maintained the power of his example and his appeal to future generations. Although the sheets of Codex Atlanticus are the main core, in this exhibition, the rare dialogue that we wanted to put on stage is between Philippe Rahm - internationally renowned architect and artist - and the great Renaissance master.
